RELENTLESS
M1 Commando
RELENTLESS M1 Commando
Combat/Utility Knife
Handmade
by
Daniel M. Certo Bladesmith Marshall, NC This is a Rare. Top Quality,
High Performance, Camp/Combat/Utility Knife,.that can be compared to
Probis, Randall, etc. Each knife is 100% handmade by me, in my shop
from the
finest materials available.. The M1 Commando has been on
board
since 1999
and has under gone several design changes.
(see
history section)
It
has
a special grind, that I adopted from the M9 bayonet by
Probis. The reverse grind, results in a
thick sharp point to facilitate forceful penetration of dense
materials.Serrations on top edge are saw teeth that can be
used
in a variety of ways . As an entry tool, the knife has 1/4 "
thick spine and tang,, with a blade grind designed as mostly flat on on
side, with
bevels on the other, to easily access cracks around
windows and doors. The knifes hefty tang allows the
application
of
strong lateral forces allowing a reasonable amount of prying. Also
handy for Explosive Ordnance Disposal tasks. The knifes
handle
design not only fits the hand well in the straight up
position,
but is also comfortable
in the reverse grip fighting position.
The larger hole in the butt of the knife is handy when the knife is
used as a last ditch rope anchor for rapeling or climbing..
It
can also be helpful when
using the knife as a weight at the ropes end for throwing the rope
etc. WARNING: The above applications
are
dangerous and could result in serious injury to the user or
others.
My
knives are in use today by Individual Soldiers, Police, Search and
Rescue Team members, as well as Campers, Hikers Backpackers, Hunters,
Farmers and Outdoor Adventurers through out the world. A few or more
collectors have also decided to add Relentless Knives to their
collection.
A perfect blend of beauty and usability make this handmade knife an
excellent addition to your outdoor gear or knife collection.
Take
it with you on your next adventure. It's built to
withstand
extreme conditions, and waiting to become your faithful companion I'm
sure you'll be pleased. . Thanks for your interest, Dan Certo.
