Great News! The sale of the first movie knife Proto to Mr Jeff Knox of Fightingknives.info, (Click photo to check out his web site) ![]() Netted us $500.00 worth of knives for the Troops. Jeff's family is in the Military collectibles business, and his web site has some real interesting items. In fact it's like a museum. We will be doing an article on Jeff and his collection real soon. Jeff is also a talented knife maker himself, and we will be taking a look at his Great work. The above, along with a few hitches in the previous program is leading to NEW ideas on how to make the MAP program better. Thanks to every soldier who has participated in the previous programs. Watch this page for details. Our goal is to make the whole deal more interesting and fun for the Troops. Special Thanks to "KC" Caulder. KC and Spec Ops Brand 's owner Mr Jeff Wemmer helped us in the 2006 and 2007 MAP programs. He is a Great guy, and an asset to the USA. KC moved on from the gear business, accepted an Engineering Supervisor position with Baroid Fluid Services (Halliburton's down-hole drilling fluid division). He left Spec.-Ops. Brand (on very, very, good terms) in July of 2007 after 7 years of service, and no one will ever be a better ambassador for Spec.-Ops. Brand. Or lead the way in customer care and business development, the way he did. "KC" helped us to get the Mag pouch sheath produced, and made sure we got what was needed from the company to make the 2006 MAP program one of the best ever. Since then he's doing Great as expected, so why is he going to the 2009 Shot Show, the Biggest Trade show in the world for firearms knives and gear. Of course I knew it was specifically to visit the TOPS knife booth were the NEW TOPs version of the4X PUNISHER will be on Display. After all, KC's, help got us going with designing products etc. But....no, he is just feeling the pangs of withdrawal from the best business on earth. And now that I told him about the M4X, he will visit the TOPs display. Here is his quote "Ever since I left Spec.-Ops. Brand, I have had this huge, empty hole in me. It took me a while to figure it out. But, I finally determined that I was just plain home sick. I miss all of my friends and colleagues that I had come to, so fondly, know while I was in that industry. And, the easiest fix I could come up with was to take a few days of well deserved vacation and haul my ass to Shot so I could see everyone. I wish I had a more complex and mysterious answer for you. But, that is the plain truth." Since I will miss shaking his hand at the Shot Show this year, as I'm full up with knife work, I figured it might be nice to add this little tribute to a Great guy and good friend. |

| Why is the January 2009 Enews so short......? I'm working hard on the NEW Catalog which will be online this month. That and the NEW web site www.punisherknife.com have taken up lot's of time. |
|
| The 2009 Relentless Knives Catalog will be online approximately Jan 10th, 2009. Some in site here: Several large knives coming, and
Mini Neck knives will be the biggest addition. I've been carrying one for over 6 months now, and find it totally useful. It is 1/4" thick s30V steel with a wedge style blade. At first, I was doubtful about this shape, thinking the point would not hold up to abuse of any kind. I wasn't totally wrong, as in the case of the 1/8" thick protos, the points are like needles; great for removing splinters from the hands and other minor surgical procedures we sometimes do on ourselves, but very delicate. The 3/16" and 1/4" models are a different story. They are plenty sturdy for many tasks, and about the handiest little knife I have ever owned. Also, I've been experimenting with across the chest carry, rather than the traditional handle pointed at the ground mode. Across the chest has several pluses that one might not notice unless you give it a try. Of course it works best with a small (4" OAl or so) knife, but in that realm it is great. First off, the knife is tethered on both the sheath, and the lanyard hole of the knife. This is a drawback under some circumstances, but for close, in general utility it is ALL THAT. The knife can be used and dropped to free the hands for other tasks, and generally it simply hangs there unsheathed until the chore is complete. This is a great improvement to some of us who set knives down in order to free the hands.....and then....spend valuable time locating our knife again. If you're a utility worker, you know well what I mean, and you know because your knife is a valuable tool that helps you get through the day. You're on a schedule, time is very important, and how many knives have you lost? The neck knife with across the chest carry puts a damper on lost time.... Your knife is always hanging right in front of you, and even when you don't re sheath it,, it's still there. If utility is not your reason for carrying, no problem either, as the mil spec eyelets on the kydex sheath are really the ultimate in allowing a variety of carrying modes. |

Peter Ferrara, an associate professor of law at the George Mason
University School of Law. September 25, 2001 9:20 a.m. National Review To Kill an American You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American. So I just thought I would write to let them know what an American is, so they would know when they found one. An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan. An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as Native Americans. An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan . The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses. An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God. An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness. An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return. When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country! As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan. Americans welcome the best of everything...the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best services. But they also welcome the least. The national symbol of America , The Statue of Liberty , welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America . Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001 earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists. So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom T iananmen Square, Taiwan independence , Falun Gong |
