This is the second of a series of interviews (see www.punisherknife.com/news.html for more)of interesting
people who either own Relentless Knives or were directly involved with
the Punisher War Zone movie. This
interview and is Mr. Moon, from France, who owns the first
prototype of the Special Edition M4X Punisher Knife. His
knife was made after the movie knives, in preperation for the
Special Edition which is available Now.by: Major Ian Humphrey It was mis marked as #0001 rather the #1 so it's very rare. If you spend any time on the major knife forums then you have likely
read some of Mr. Moon’s comments. To describe him in one
word would be “enthusiastic” when it comes to collecting
and designing knives. Mr. Moon has an interesting history when it
comes to knives and it all started in 2006 when he began a search for
an M9 bayonet to go on his M4 rifle. He bought an M9 made by
Ontario Knife Co. from a store in France only to discover a month later
that EBay sold the same bayonet . The discovery on EBay led
Mr. Moon to start researching the different models and manufacturers of
the M16 bayonet and he soon started to collect many types of
bayonets. You can see his impressive collection on his website:
http://m9m4.com. One of Mr. Moon’s current
projects includes designing a prototype bayonet that fits on an 11.5
inch barrel M4 rifle. This shortened bayonet is designed for
close quarters combat and urban areas where a full length bayonet may
be too awkward for actual use. Four prototypes are currently
being evaluated by Lan Cay for possible production. For Dan’s interview, we came up with six questions that concentrate on knife collecting and what makes an “ideal military knife.” It should be noted that English is not Mr. Moon’s primary language and he had to translate his answers into English for this interview, so some of the grammar may be off. But we certainly appreciate Mr. Moon taking the time to lend his expertise in Relentless Knives and military knives in general. ![]() What is your favorite military knife? My favorite (military) knife (S) are " 4 " ..... I can't choose only one .. It’s impossible: 1° .. SOG seal pup M37 (utility knife for " Pizza " eating etc etc ... 2° .. the M4X punisher for mountain, field woods ... etc ...... 3° the M9 bayonet naturally ...... and 4° .. The DARTMOOR WILKINSON another Monster Knife as the M4X. Tell us more about yourself I'm 41 .... I'm work since 5 years in an MEDIA-OFFICE-NATIONAL-INFORMATIONS-NEWS from my city the French Riviera..... I practice in a Shooting Club since my 18' .... I’d in the POLICE NATIONALE to 1986 to 1988 .... and after I’d make some others work in different ways .... as seller of house, apartment ... etc etc ... How long have you been a knife collector and tell us more about your website? Ian, u can use my home page presentation here: Welcome to M9 M4 bayonet & survival knife. Firstly, the aim of these pages is not to retrace precisely and in detail the creation and history of these weapons, other more specialist websites have already done this. Here, this is quite simply about a short period of my life, between September 2006 and the beginning of 2008. Originally, my idea was to find " one " bayonet M9 and one only. As for the three PROTOTYPE LANCAY CLEAR , they will be among my favorites . Owning one copy seemed inconceivable , but " 3 " different versions is a Miracle ..... ![]() Mister Moon ... So , I’d see on that eBay , there was more different M9 with different " markings " ... and one day ... I’d ask as to the all sellers that I’d " see " ... the same question : .. " Sorry , per hazard , you do not know in your relations, somebody who would have a bayonet prototype as one CLEAR LANCAY M9 ? ".. and , one guy , in the middle of 2007 , said me : .. " Yes ! me !! I’ve 3 different CLEAR LANCAY M9 " ... and at this moment ... and after more mails with that guy ..... I’d finished buying this beautiful model ......... After that , I’d make a little website , WWW.M9M4.COM and , I continued to look for models which I did not have in my small collection . All my search , come from eBay US ....Because , in France , it's impossible to buy on eBay France , a blade more long than approximately 4 inch (I believe) .. but , it's possible to buy in a dealer in my country ... The problem , it's , the bayo M9 is unknown here ! ahah. For example , if I put some photo on a French forum , there's only a small quantity of guys who see (probably 60 guy's in 1 month !!!) in a forum US ,my maximum visit after my post of the Lancay clear was more 1000 in 3 days ! Concerning , my collection with M9M4.COM , I think I will finish when I would have found , the two last bayos that I search ! But that ... it's a secret ! What made you collect your first Relentless knife? How did you find the knife? Knife show, internet, friend, etc? I'd see for the first time , some prototype made by him , on eBay in 2007 if I remember ..... And I 'd like quickly the design of his blades ...... One days ; I’d say (to me) I will take a knife of that incredible patriot guy !!!! ... The day was arrive at the end of 2008 with the Monster Knife , the M4X Since you obviously know knives, what do you personally carry on a daily basis? In fact , the law in France are VERY VERY different that in USA .... If the police find on your pocket a knife .... You go directly at the Police - Office .... and if it's a big knife ... it's a process !!! In fact , weapons , knifes all that prohibited if u don't have a good reason ! What would you consider the "perfect" military/ttactical knife and why? I consider " 2 " very perfect knife ! for me , it's the SOG seal pup , because is compact , with manageability , for as I said up , to eat .... The second it's a real big (not more) knife as the M4X It's the TOP if you go in a wild field .... to make some work with some parts of trees , or others important survival work . So that is it for the second of a series of interviews coming to relentlessknives.com and the punisherknife.com websites. When you get a chance make sure to visit Mr Moon’s website at http://m9m4.com and watch for his enthusiastic comments on your favorite forums! |

Questions received from our customers: Hey: You make some really heavy duty knives. Why are you waisting your time making those itty bitty little fixed blades . Why not make a folder. Well: Of course I can't please everyone, and I realize that folding knives are ever popular. But, I figure folders are broken from the start. So it's a matter of strength and size. To get a super strong folder, you need to increase something and that usually results in more weight and bulk. This sort of defeats the purpose , compactness. Also try hammering your folder into an oak tree or chink in a rock formation and then use it as a rope anchor....... ![]() Watch for Major Humphreys test on the M2 Scorpion. | |

Peter Ferrara, an associate professor of law at the George Mason
University School of Law. September 25, 2001 9:20 a.m. National Review To Kill an American You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American. So I just thought I would write to let them know what an American is, so they would know when they found one. An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan. An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as Native Americans. An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan . The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses. An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God. An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness. An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return. When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country! As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan. Americans welcome the best of everything...the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best services. But they also welcome the least. The national symbol of America , The Statue of Liberty , welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America . Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001 earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists. So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom T iananmen Square, Taiwan independence , Falun Gong |
