to Excellence Designed for Maximum Efficiency

Tested by Professional Soldiers
Relentless Knives, have found their way all over the world.
In many places the term relentless
is more than a brand name on a knife.
Websters Dictionary defines the term
re-lent-less;
Unmoved by love or pity: Unceasing, as without mercy. A
tough word, for tough people, needing tough equipment.
Thanks to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and others, for their
relentless pursuit of protecting freedom, and using
Relentless Knives to help them .

A
Razor Sharp Knife
By: Daniel M. Certo
The
knife is razor sharp because of a microscopic feather of steel on the
edge, sometime termed a wire edge. This feather is strong and lasts for awhile, but when it starts
to fold in on it's self, you will notice the knife being slightly less
sharp. Also, if you leave the knife in a moist environment without
protection, this feather will slightly deteriorate due to oxidation.
This is when to touch it up on the steel (sold in kitchen stores), or
ceramic rods. The result is you keep your knife razor sharp with three
or four strokes on the steel without removing steel from the edge, or
reshaping the edge angle. ... After about a year you will have
to
use the stone or diamond to reshape the edge. I see many good knives
that have given the user years of faithful service except that the
width of the blade is greatly reduced by using a stone or diamond hone
which wears away the knife. You can find these steel rods, or bars at
kitchen stores, or you can make one your self from a file.Ceramic rods
are widely available and more delicate than steel
The
one in the photo is a mini magnetic sharpening steel
made in england by Burgon and Ball. These are small enough to carry in
the field, and
are available on the Internet . I'm looking into offering them for sale to my customers as they are great.

12 M2 Talons for 2007 MAP
I am making a dozen M2 Talon knives to send to the troops in Iraq
and Afghanistan, and need your help. I'm asking for donations to
cover the cost .

These knives are catalog items and retail for $189.95
in High strength 5160 steel . I'm making them for 1/2
price, which covers raw materials , and supplies. So each
knife would be $94.97.
Total = $1139.47
Your donation would be much appreciated
A running tally , the name of each donor and receiver will be
published here, and there are "ZERO" administration costs involved.
That means this is not some non profit effort, were
the money etc collected goes 80 to the staff and 20 to the
cause, or 50/50 etc. No this is non tax deductible, my work
and additional 4 knives etc are given with no end of the year payback etc and your
donations are the same. Sorry about that, but it's just a good old
fashioned effort to do what we can to show others that we care.
I am also auctioning two M9 Trench knives , on USN or where ever
I can as Ebay is against Trench knives. These are retail values of
$600.00 ea., the
proceeds of these sales will be used to purchase other gear ....like
flashlights and etc, for the troops. Watch this newsletter and the MAP
page for details
on these auctions. If you sell flash lites , shooting accessories, or
personal gear, and would like to donate, or have items like this
that we can buy with the auction proceeds....please contact me without
delay.
Further I will be donating two other knives and sheaths . Watch the MAP page for photos of these knives and other gears.
That's not all,.....we will be asking as many companys as
possible to donate any gear type item they can or would. Their
donations will appear on the MAP page as well.
So why all the hoopla.......isn't the war
un popular?................well, let's face it Mr and Ms. American
citizen...........These are our sons and daughters neighbors and
friends. They have left their homes and familys and jobs. Their
lives have been changed by the experience forever
They haven't done this for money....the pay is the pits.....they
haven't done it for Glory.....the political climate changes like the
wind.
NO...they are out there risking their lives for you and me. They are the protectors of our freedom. and way of life.
This effort is nothing but chump change in comparison to one
moment in the life of one soldier under fire! So PLEASE help me
to send the message that we here at home, care about their
sacrifices. We care that they do well, and are showing it . We don't
give a krap about the political climate or the toast in
Washington....we are behind them and their mission.
MAP 2006
MAP 2006
The American soldier of today is a volunteer. They have left their familys,
jobs and homes.
They have undergone rigorous training, spent nights and days in the
mud and rain. They have traveled to foreign lands and endured
further discomfort, then faced bombs and bullets. Many have
come back dead, many are scared for life.
This is GREAT
human sacrifice.....for you, for me, for your children and every
American, as well as any other person who wants freedom from tyranny.
Some people in the USA today have the putrid attitude that this is some type
of waste........Yet they have no other ideas. Our country was attacked and the onslaught continues.
MAP 2004
This
is not our first MAP program. With the help of wonderful people like
YOU we have been able to show our appreciation to our fighting man and
women before, and with the grace of God, we will continue with these
efforts until the war on terror is over.
The people of the United States are not the aggressors here, nor were
we ever. There are no countrys that are under the thumb of the
United States. we have been attacked and must defend ourselves and our
country. We have never asked for war. And those countrys
that have found us in theirs have found that when the fighting
ended their people were freer, and more prosperous than before.
On Sept 11th 2001, 3000 innocent people were unjustly slaughtered by radical Islamic terrorists.
This attack lead us to wars in Afghanistan, and Iraq. some people think that the Iraq war is
a waste of time and money, yet jihadists know no boundarys. Their
slogan "DEATH to AMERICA....is down right rude and inconsiderate to say
the least. If they took the time to examine the facts they might
change their minds , to write a new chapter in their book, a chapter
were they put their great effort and enthusiasm towards something
positive towards building rather than destruction.
But, such lofty goals seem far from us or them today, so until then ........................

HERE ARE SOME OF THE DONATIONS SO FAR.....PLEASE HELP US BY DONATING TO THIS WORTHY CAUSE

M1i A.C.E. Test Report (When “It” Hits the Fan)
By: Major Ian Humphrey
The second in a series of Relentless Knives’ M1 integral guard knives
reports, the M1i A.C.E. (Air Crew Egress) is designed to get you out of
truly
bad situations. This knife has been a popular seller and for
obvious reasons. The design has all the benefits of the integral
guard series of knives, plus some truly wicked looking serrations and cord
cutter. The ACE also features two finger cutouts on the handle for better
gripping, and a different, more utility, blade shape than the Interceptor
model. The knife is ¼” thick and this particular model I tested came in D2
steel. This is not Dan’s preferred steel, and he suggests if you are going
to spend the money for D2 steel to go ahead and order S30V high performance
stainless steel instead. Like the M1i Interceptor model, I was able to put
the ACE through an extended test and evaluation period.
The tests
The ACE performed very well on both the initial paper and cardboard
c cutting tests. The D2 steel and fine blade geometry made cutting thin,
clean cuts in both mediums look easy. The ACE also performed very well on
both dry and wet wood. The finger cutout on the coil allows the user to
“choke up” on the blade for fine work, and in no time flat I had a nice pile
of sharpened stakes and fuzz sticks in different types of wood. The double
finger cutouts on the handle and the hawk beak tang allowed for fast,
efficient snap cuts that quickly severed limbs and brush. The flat area on
top of the blade made a handy striking area for a baton which allowed the
ACE to effectively chop through large saplings. The blade also clean ly cut
through “non standard” objects like engine hoses and climbing rope as well
as the more traditional nylon and 550 cord. The cord cutter on top of the
knife was handy for cutting single strands of 550 cord (most effectively by
“scrapping” instead of “sawing”) and striping insulation off of copper
wires. The serrations are designed to cut rope and cord, but I found them
to be the most useful in cutting dry and green wood. The serrations made
quick work in notching poles and sawing through limbs. For another
“extreme” test, I took the ACE on another hike in the woods and found an old
abandoned car in the woods (you have to love NY!). The ACE easily
penetrated the steel side panel of the car and the serrations were able to
saw through the steel. Throughout all of these tests the blade was not
damaged (although the bead blasted finish did show some marring).
The Sheath
I carried the ACE in various sheaths, but it spent the most time in the
specially designed magazine/knife sheath pouch combination that Dan designed
and Spec Ops built. This combination pouch combines a two magazine utility
pouch with a kydex liner to fit different sized knives. This pouch is MOLLE
compatible and can also be comfortably worn on the belt. One of the best
features of this new combination pouch is the ability to carry a large
amount of items in your knife sheath. You no longer have to deal with the
tiny, practically useless utility pouches found on some sheaths. Another
great feature of this pouch is the space saving it provides a Soldier on
their MOLLE equipment. You no longer need to have space on your vest for
both ammo pouches and a knife sheath.
Dislikes
There are very few dislikes for this knife. More rounded handles would
aid in chopping comfort and other “hard use” jobs. The serrations could
also use some tweaking to make them better rope cutters. Dan suggested
touching up the sharpened areas inside the serrations, which did help.
While the D2 steel performed very well, I would also prefer S30V steel for
this knife. One of the best advantages of the stainless steel is the ease
in which it cleans up. After my extended, hard use testing, the D2 steel
was stained and the finish was marred. While there was no rust on the
knife, the S30V steel would have cleaned up a lot easier and kept the knife
looking like new. While I really don’t care how my knives look, the piece
of mind of easy field maintenance is a real plus.
Conclusions
The M1i ACE is a tough, no frills hard use knife that is designed to
perform in adverse conditions. Of all of the M1i knives, this is my
favorite design. It feels solid in the hand and built to last. If you are
looking for a full sized combat ready knife to get you out of trouble once
“it” hits the fan, then the ACE is your knife.

To
Kill an American
You
probably
missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a
report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer
of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.
So
an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let
everyone know what an American is so they would know when they found
one. (Good one, mate!!!!)
An
American is English, or French,
or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An
American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese,
Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or
Afghan.
An
American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage,
Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes
known as Native Americans.
An
American is Christian, or he could
be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in
America than in Afghanistan . The only difference is that in America
they are free to worship as each of them chooses.
An
American is
also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to
God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the
government and for God.
An
American lives in the most prosperous
land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be
found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God
given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness.
An
American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other
nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in
return.
When
Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20
years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people
to win back their country! As of the morning of September 11, Americans
had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan.
Americans
welcome the best of everything...the best products, the best books, the
best music, the best food, the best services.
But
they also welcome the least.
The
national symbol of America , The Statue of Liberty , welcomes your
tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the
homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built
America .
Some
of them were working in the Twin Towers the
morning of September 11, 2001 earning a better life for their families.
It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least
30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those
that aided and abetted the terrorists.
So
you can try to kill an
American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and
Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in
doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not
a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of
the human spirit of freedom. Tiananmen Square, Taiwan independence , Falun Gong
.
