Committed to Excellence
Designed  for Maximum Efficiency
Tested by Professional Soldiers

Well, The M1i design  still in the works, has now finally yeilded two NEW designs for the 2007 catalog.
They have been named and are shown here.
The M1 Interceptor, and the M1 A.C.E. Air Crew Egress knife.
Both names were suggested by Capt. Humphrey, and both very fitting.
Although the knives look somewhat alike, they are very different in lots of ways, mostly in their intended use and handle configureation, and price.

The Interceptor, is a fighter, The Integral guard allows for a center of balance on these knives, that is unequaled in any previous Relentless knife. It allows the knife to be an accurate throwing knife, which effortlessly finds it's target in full or half spins. That's the last thing you want to do to your knife, but in a pinch, the capability is built in. The guard also protects the hand, allows the knife to be tethered to the palm so other things can be accomplished while the knife is in the hand. This also helps in keeping the knife from loss during CQB, emergencies etc

The Interceptor, will be offered in both serrated, and non serrated version, and in two steel configurations, 3/16" 8670M a high carbon tool steel, that has replaced L6, with improved edge holding. and 5160 Super strength High carbon alloy steel in 1/4" width. Both steel selections Zone tempered for incredible strength. The 3/16 8670M allows for a bit less weight, for those who want it. The knife in either High Carbon steel will retail for $289.00
S30v may also be available for this knife......check the catalog in 2007.

The M1 A.C.E. Air Crew Egress knife was also yeilded from this design project.
The handle and blade configuration, are designed
to allow the user to punch, stab, hack and cut through lite sheet metal, plexiglass, etc. The top serrations are also excellent for zipping through heavy weight nylon rope etc.
The extended intergal guard and contoured grip protects the hand,,and has a fit that stays put during the violent actions required to free ones self from downed air craft etc.
The knife is also great for general survival use, although the serrations are not designed to cut wood .
The knife can however be ordered with variant serrations for the intended task. It's Zone tempered to resist great lateral forces.  A special sheath may also be available also coming soon.

The M1 ACE, will be available in D2 High carbon tool steel and s30V High Performance stainless steel. The retail price on this knife will be $489.00
in D2 1/4"  check the 2007 catalog coming soon for s30V price.

More on the M1i project next month, when we expect the water knife to be the completion of the project.

NEW KNIFE SHEATH
Designed by: Daniel M. Certo Relentless Knives USA
Built by:  Jeff Wemmer Spec Ops Brand

I've designed a new knife sheath, that solves an old problem.
Here's Capt Humphreys report:

The New Relentless Knives/Spec Ops Brand Sheath/Pouch Combo
by: Capt. Ian Humphrey

How many times have you been frustrated with the lack of a decent sized

pocket on your knife sheath?  The new Relentless model sheath solves this
problem by combining an X2 multi-purpose pouch with a kydex sheath to
securely hold your tactical fixed blade knife.  This combo will be available
in multiple colors to suit your needs.  This new pouch offers the same MOLLE
compliant straps that allow the pouch to be secured to a variety of surfaces
from vests to belts.  There is also an ample section of Velcro on the pouch
flap to adjust to different size loads, or to be securely held open for easy
access.
I tested the new pouch on a MOLLE vest and found that it quickly and
securely attached to the straps.  The Relentless M1i fit snuggly in the
kydex insert and road securely behind the pouch.  Even with a fully loaded
pouch, the knife had no problems fitting into the sheath.  The main
advantage to this new combo pouch is the saved space on your vest, etc.
since you do not have to carry both a sheath and ammo pouch separately.
Another advantage to this new combination is the fact that the knife is
almost completely hidden behind the pouch.  This could come in handy when
you do not want to advertise a large tactical knife on your person.  Besides
holding two M16 30 round magazines, I was also able to fit a Garmin Etrex
GPS, compact binoculars, GI issue angled flashlight, a ton of 550 cord,
Willey-X goggles, pocket survival kit, etc. etc. inside this one pouch (not
at the same time, of course!).
In terms of dislikes, I would like to see a slightly larger version of
the sheath to allow two M16 magazines with slip on pull tabs to be easily
placed inside the pouch (with the current design, they fit but it is real
snug).  I would also like to see a plastic stiffener between the pouch and
the kydex insert.  This would help the pouch keep its shape and allow a
better anchoring of the kydex insert (currently it is secured to the fabric,
which allows a slight amount of movement of the liner).  I would also like
to see an adjustable handle strap for the pouch, like those found on the
Spec Ops knife sheaths.  This will allow many different sized knives to fit
in the same pouch.
Overall, I was very impressed with the new Relentless knife/pouch
combination.  For the first time you can receive a quality knife sheath that
includes a large enough pouch to store a variety of useful accessories.

We are taking orders NOW! The sheath is available in ACU camo, and Black.
It fits knives up to 6" blade lengthx 1 3/4" blade width..  Retail price $45.00 Lifetime replacement warranty.

Military Knife, and Gear Testing

Don't get the idea that the U.S. Government has anytthing to do with our  tests.

No,  our knives etc. are tested by professional individual soldiers in their spare time,  so there's no politics involved here. We just want to make sure that the knives we  make , test, and sell meet or exceed  the needs of professional soldiers, policemen and adventurers.
Why?    We are Committed to Excellence! You won't find Relentless Knives everywhere, in fact, production is all by hand, and .......well it's a slow process to say the least.
But, well worth the time, as they are made to last a lifetime,
and endure the rigors of battle.

NON Catalog Customs
Ian's  wife has  been drafted into  the test and review service.

The Capt. designed  a  knife that fits her hand very well, and I made it.
It's just big enough to be very useful, can be carried as a  pocket or neck knife , and has a few custom touches like mosaic pins and exotic wood handles. It also has the West Point  Crest etched on the blade.. Watch the Enews for more  info on  this and other non catalog Customs.

Extreme Testing produces Extreme Durability and a better knife for you.

Don't try this with your knife, intentional destruction will void your lifetime replacement warranty.
But, we do it all the time in order to see just how
much abuse our knives will withstand.

Ian figures no amount of abuse is to much, so
a bit of rifle fire produced some interesting results on a knife that withstood bending to almost 90 degrees
and returned to straight with no deformity

The 7.62 x 39 Bullet had more devastating effects
on this particular knife, but was not so bad on another tested.

Watch for the complete report as well as other interesting articles in the test and review pages of www.relentlessknives.com

..Direct Hit. Ian hit this M4 Bounty  Hunter dead on with his AKM.
A small crack , but not bad for such abuse..
Please don't try this at home,  as gun fire will be considered extreme
abuse and void your lifetime warranty.
Ian doesn't seem to care....he is more concerned that American Soldiers who carry Relentless Knives get the best equipment available.

Watch for the Great American Steel test..
Ian Humphrey has taken variety of commonly
used knife steels and put them through a battery of
tests to illistrate practical  expectations in the field..
It's and interesting and informative look at what you can expect from  the stuff your knife is made from.

To Kill an American
You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.
So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is so they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)
An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan.
An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as Native Americans.
An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan . The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses.
An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.
An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness.
An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return.
When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country! As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan.
Americans welcome the best of everything...the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best services.
But they also welcome the least.
The national symbol of America , The Statue of Liberty , welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America .
Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001 earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.
So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom.
