By: Major Ian Humphrey The opinions expressed in these tests and reviews are mine alone and not the official opinion of the Department of the Army, Department of Defense, or United States Government. I
enjoy all things outdoors...from hunting, hiking, fishing, kayaking,
backpacking, x-country skiing, mountain biking, shooting
and fooling around in my Jeep Wrangler. I live in a wooded area with lots of great places to run a knife and sheath through its paces. In terms of my military career, I graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1997 as a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery. After the Officer Basic Course my first assignment was to Fort Wainwright, Alaska were I spent three glorious years living in the sportsman's paradise! In January 2001 I returned to Fort Sill for the Captain's Career Course with a follow on assignment to III Corps Artillery stationed at Fort Sill. Two months after I took over my MLRS Battery, we deployed with the 3rd ID to round out their MLRS Battalion. During the course of the war we fired over 240 rockets in combat and ended up pulling security for Baghdad International Airport until June of 2003. My next assignment was back to West Point to become a company Tactical Officer in charge of developing and mentoring 130 Cadets. REVIEWS and TESTS M1A.C.E M1 MAP M1 Mini M2 Talon M1Interceptor M4 Viper M4 Trail hound Relentless Review pages are presented on this web site and perhaps other places for YOU. Thanks Major Humphrey Ian's tests and reviews are the result of allot of hard work on his part. The results give You in site on the knife, and help me to offer you products worthy of the name RELENTLESS KNIVES Let's take a few minutes to Thank Major Ian Humphrey. ![]() His Relentlessly hard work is seen here every month. The guy goes to great lengths to put Relentless Knives to the test and to make sure that they are fit for service , in war zones, deep in the forest, or in the big city. ![]() Besides that, Ian is a career soldier who has been serving his country for the last past 11 years. He is a Tactical training Officer at USMA West Point. Has served in Iraq, and is a family man with a wife and two beautiful children. Major Humphrey is also an avid outdoors man, hunter, fisherman, kayaker, diver, and adventurer. His attitude is more optimistic than anyone I have ever met, and his work and attention to detail is meticulous. ![]() I'm proud to feature his work here, and when you read it, you can be sure that what he says is no conjecture. Ian has shown that he is willing to not only do what it takes to do the job, but to go the bit extra which separates the good from the great. I stay more than busy making each Relentless Knife by hand, and without Ian's help I doubt that the Relentless knives newsletter would be possible. ![]() So every once and awhile it's time to thank those who help to make Relentless knives as good as you have told us they are. We appreciate your business, and hope that you appreciate the time and effort Ian puts into his part of the task. I know I do, and hope you all feel the same. ![]() ![]() . Major Humphrey
