Feb 2007 MAP III SUPPORT OUR TROOPS 2 Military Award Program Show your appreciation MAY 1st 2006 This program MAP II is now closed.....Wonderful people donated and I donated the rest. The knives were completed, and sent to Iraq. Check the newsletter page for details. Watch this page for the next program. Special Thanks to Capt. Ian Humphrey U.S. Army for work on this program above and beyond what might be expected from anyone. God Bless Our Troops and The U.S.A. I have again committed myself to a SUPPORT OUR TROOPS program, and need YOUR help.. This program is at the request of a BRAVE and DEDICATED American soldier who asked for help from the public, numerous knife makers and companies, unselfishly, to award some of his men for their performance on the battlefield in Iraq. We participated in the program last year, and were able through the good will of several GREAT AMERICANS award 6 knives to his men. The total effort produced 100 knives total. CSM Carlson returned home from Iraq, and was looking forward to lots of hunting and fishing on his off hours, also looking forward to watching his son, following in his footsteps and good example as a New member of the U.S. Army. Well,.....no, Brian was sent back to Iraq for yet another tour of Combat duty. I realize the ramifications for Brian, but I'm proud to know this man, and proud to know that Carlson, his son, and people like him are protecting us. I must also mention Capt. Ian Humphrey, who has served in Iraq, and has volunteered his time and effort to help his fellow soldiers . These men are the Heros of Our time, Join them. NOW! CSM Carlson letter. I
am Command Sergeant Major Brian Carlson, of the 1st Brigade Combat
Team, 10th Mountain Division. I am currently serving on my second tour
in Iraq in less than 3 years. I was with the 1st Battalion, 32nd
Infantry in Iraq from 03-04. So,......PLEASE HELP, and keep in mind, our sacrifice in this matter, will directly result in an American Soldier , who has proved his merit and commitment, receive an award of appreciation directly from us, the American people.. Success large or small followed by honest hardy recognition for the same, simply leads to more success. So...."Let's Roll"! and Thanks! Dan Certo SUPPORT OUR TROOPS 1 2004 2006 Military Award Program DONATIONS COMPLETE HOW TO HELP
Our Goal in this particular effort is to raise enough to pay for the raw materials gifts of appreciation , shipping etc. for 12 knives. The are no administration costs, and all funds collected will be dispersed as outlined here. We welcome any interested party to audit the giving. Should we collect more than the above, more soldiers will get knives. A NEW design will be created for this effort and named MAP knife The First of these knives will be auctioned on ebay with no reserve and the proceeds will be added to the fund You can follow our progress in the RELENTLESS KNIVES Newsletter on this site. Here is a quote from President Bush which I firmly believe. "As our troops fight a ruthless enemy determined to destroy our way of life, they deserve to know that their elected leaders who voted to send them to war continue to stand behind them. Our troops deserve to know that this support will remain firm when the going gets tough. And our troops deserve to know that whatever our differences in Washington, our will is strong, our nation is united, and we will settle for nothing less than victory.” This program and many like it put those words into practice. Futher and exerpt from Hthe 2006 State of the Union address: "Our men and women in uniform are making sacrifices – and showing a sense of duty stronger than all fear. They know what it's like to fight house to house in a maze of streets, to wear heavy gear in the desert heat, to see a comrade killed by a roadside bomb. And those who know the costs also know the stakes. Marine Staff Sergeant Dan Clay was killed last month fighting in Fallujah. He left behind a letter to his family, but his words could just as well be addressed to every American. Here is what Dan wrote: "I know what honor is. ... It has been an honor to protect and serve all of you. I faced death with the secure knowledge that you would not have to.... Never falter! Don't hesitate to honor and support those of us who have the honor of protecting that which is worth protecting." If you cannot afford to give personally, you might simply volunteer to help by taking up a collection at you work, school, church, etc. Here is a bit of inspiration from an unknown writer which is so true. "Providence Will Move with You" Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness, concerning all acts of initiative and (creation). There is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one, that would never have otherwise occurred. A whole stream of events, issues from the decisions, raising in ones favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance that no man would have dreamed , would have gone his way. What ever you can do, or dream you can do, Begin it! Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it Now! Thanks Again Dan Certo NOTE: I'm not a nonprofit org, just a concerned American doing what I can to show my support. So your contribution may not be tax deductible. Don't let that stop you from giving. Today it's just money, but without these brave men it could be our heads ![]() ![]() These photos are a brief progress report.
